Wait what?
Oct. 19th, 2009 12:11 pmIvy had gotten out of class earlier than expected. Then her phone went off and she got bombarded with questions from the matriarch of a family she was somewhat acquainted with in Gotham. They knew her Uncle and had been kind to her when she was still reeling from his death.
So Halloween. She was expected to go to a party. It would be a Saturday after all and it was going to double as a fundraiser for a promising young lawyer who was running for DA next year. Somehow that meant Ivy had to be there to meet him.
And wear a costume of course.
That had Ivy running over a list of what to wear in her mind. Witches and vampires were just too much for the blind woman. She wasn't going to be able to figure this out easily. As she walked o catch the subway back to the closest area she could get to home she started thinking.
She also frowned as much as she usually did. Why on Earth did she get dragged out so often?
It hit her at the third stop on her ride home. The idea had her smile and she would get the number to the shop once she got home. This idea would be fantastic and silly but it would get the job done. She tugged at her hair and continued to form the plan as the sub got closer to her stop.
It wouldn't be until the next day that she could do anything about it. She looked around as much as someone like her could and found what she wanted. She just needed a scarf to go with it and maybe a shawl since that night would be cold so she thought.
Getting the whole thing home and checking out her closet to see what else she had would be better than running to another store. She felt her way through the closet glad to have it well organized and smiled to herself. Perfect. Now to check her drawers for a proper scarf.
That took some searching. She had very odd things in there.
An old knife that for some reason got stuffed in there. And what was that? She kept finding odd things and soon ended up on the floor reorganizing everything. Once or twice she felt a kitten rub against her calf as she worked at fixing things in the drawer.
There, it was better now. She got up and streched. For a moment she thought about it then plucked the kitten up and stroked it's fur as she moved to go back down stairs.
