We are not amused (

Oct. 6th, 2009 10:54 pmIvy had a long day so she had locked herself in the bathroom to relax. After that she went to flop on her favorite couch. It was comfortable and wide enough that if her pets decided they just had to be with her she wouldn't get buried under a ton of pet hair.
She picked up a remote and pressed a button and the soft cords of a favorite Jazz CD filled the air. She hummed to herself and shut her eyes in a content manner. It was then she felt the young cat climb into her lap. She curled her lip for a moment and relaxed before she reached down to pet him. She had given up on teaching him her lap was not his lap but now she froze because something else had just started to climb up her leg.
She waited then reached over to figure out what this was. A kitten? What the shit is this.
Altair. Ivy demands an explanation for this. After it stops purring and being cute. Ah the big one is getting annoyed. They better not fight over her lap or else she is probably going to get annoyed.

It would have been so much easier to just avoid the confrontation and sneak back out...

Date: 2009-10-07 05:27 am (UTC)"Why here though? It's very young and I don't have time to keep watch over a young kitten," Ivy replies then makes a face and looks down. "Ow. Finger. No."
The kitten had started to nibble her finger to try and get her attention. The older cat seemed mildly entertained by this since it was not winning the young kitten any points.

"...Because I did not know where else to take it. Besides, cats need no training."

Date: 2009-10-09 02:36 am (UTC)She finds it difficult to stay annoyed at him for long. But there was one important thing she had to point out.
"You should have told me. It isn't good for someone to just find out they have another animal in the house. I mean I sort of expected the cat I got you to stay here."
The kitten will get some attention if only so Ivy can avoid having her finger chewed on.

Date: 2009-10-09 03:12 am (UTC)Ivy will try to extract the cats from her lap now so she can stand. They won't move so she sighs and leans back against the couch. "It can't be helped. I suppose I don't mind the kitten. Does it have a name?"

Date: 2009-10-09 03:27 am (UTC)"...Not that I am aware, no." He paused, uncertain what to say next or how to say it. "But it will soon enough likely."

Date: 2009-10-09 03:43 am (UTC)Ivy wrinkles her nose in confusion. "Do you mean I should name it?"
She doesn't even like it. Except it just might be cute. That shouldn't sway her so easily but she supposes it is because it is a young animal.

Date: 2009-10-09 12:35 pm (UTC)"...No!" Altaïr cringed at his own snappiness. "No... it's not mine, and...it's...not meant to be yours either, it just had no where to go and he really wanted to keep it..." He trailed off, turning his head away with a slight frown.

Date: 2009-10-09 01:44 pm (UTC)Buying more gets expensive and annoying. She also thought he had figured it out.
Oh so this was for a friend of his. She was learning to listen to his words rather than get that hurt look on her face when he said it in a harsh tone. Ivy hid a smile with a slight duck of her head. "Then I'll just call him what he is. Nothing more."
The silence between them seems so huge. She needs to let him know what she's feeling anyways so she fills up the silence like she always does. "Altair. I'm not angry at you."

Date: 2009-10-12 01:55 am (UTC)The cats as of yet have not attacked her hair. good. She doesn't think she'll be happy if either of them decide that hair is a toy. "It's not a...Let's just not worry about it."

Date: 2009-10-19 05:11 pm (UTC)Well not really. She had just accepted things and moved on. Oh well. Now back to forgetting the day. The cats seem to be willing to play distraction.
