It isn't often Ivy uses her PINpoint to go home from the Sanctuary. But she had a really good reason. To change into something a little more showy. It was a nice dress that a friend had talked her into buying.

Poor Altair would never know what hit him. It had more color than anything else Ivy owned. And showed a good amount of her legs too, didn't help Ivy was wearing matching shoes and waiting for the chance to say hello to Altair. He might find it unusal for Ivy to be wearing red.

It would just look odd seeing as she's not a flashy dresser and red is well, eye catching.

Altaїr frowns this time. "Why?" Height never seems to bother him, but then he tends to be one of, if not the, tallest people around in most situations. Or maybe he doesn't get that it's just not a sight thing--that Ivy can feel its difference and/or knows its rude in the sense of politeness.

He looks up at her expectantly, waiting for an explanation he either already knows or is just too blunt to think of.

"I...am very aware of my surroundings," she says carefully. "It makes me uncomfortable to be sitting in a higher position than...someone I care for. To me it speaks of a lack of respect." She stops and her cheeks grow red from embarrassment. She actually admitted feelings out loud.

"But I respect you, Altair. I really do. So either I'm going to join you down there or you will sit up here. Please. " She doesn't meant to let her voice grow thick with emotion but it does. Her body betrays her in every way.

Altaїr sits perfectly still for a moment, his head still bent forward in shadows. Finally he moves in one swift motion and, without using his hands to lift himself, stands. His head remains tilted downward even as he places himself on the couch.

He sits on the edge of the cushion, his legs spread and his arms leaning forward on his thighs. He fidgets again in small ways, mostly his feet shuffling and fingers tapping against one another as he clasps and unclasps his hands. He stays silent.

Ivy turns slightl then decides to remove her sunglasses. She folds them neatly then pushes them across to him.

Then blinks. He's fidgeting. At least to her he is. That confuses her. "Altair? Are you all right? Have...I done something wrong? Is that what's bothering you?"

She doesn't mean to let that hint of worry enter her voice. But she's afraid of upsetting him. She needs things to be calm right now.

Altaїr turns his head to look at her but his head still remains bent forward. He glances down at his idle hands briefly. "No, I... always sit like this. I don't like being idle for very long. Not out in the open anyway."

Nevermind the fact that he could sit for hours on a perch waiting for the perfect moment to strike, or lie hidden in a rooftop garden for even longer just to have the guards give up searching for him. When on the street, sitting on a bench or simply standing to the side, he always seemed to fidget slightly. Not nervous necessarily, but idle and perhaps... bored.

She thinks about this. Too bad he wouldn't go home with her. She can think of a few ways to keep him busy! But then again he'd possibly run if she hinted at that kind of intimacy.

"It's not as if ninja warriors will jump out of the shadws to...change things up. But usally the Nexus is fairly chaotic. I find it odd things are ...so calm."

Not 'possibly', nor even 'probably'--most definitely. He wouldn't want to turn her into a whore, and other than one of those, he wouldn't do those sorts of things with a woman anywhere.

Altaїr glanced at Ivy curiously. 'Ninja warriors' was not a phrase he entirely understood, although he got the jest from the word 'warrior'. "I'm not worried, not really. I just don't like sitting around doing nothing. It's not in my nature."

Which really brings an interesting dynamic to their strange little relationship. They'll probably be very chaste with each other. Ivy doesn't wish to drive him away and he just won't do that.

Ivy's lips twitched anyways. On some level she was ammused. Though now she had to turn slightly to press her back against the couch then kicked herlegs out and let them drift to the ground. "You're rather lucky. I have to sit sometimes for hours. Usually for a reason though. Sitting like this though can be bothersome. My joints get rather stuff from the lack of...activity."

Understatement of the year.

Altaїr debates on expanding that idea, but in the end keeps quiet. He doesn't really want to bring up the fact that he is an easy killer, and that's the only reason he ever sits perfectly still for any 'good' reason.

He grunts once and then returns his gaze to the ground between his feet.

Yeah it might shatter the peaceful air that seems to be around them. Though right now Ivy has tensed up.

Her shoulders hurt. They shouldn't but she had sat stiffly in one postion without her back against the couch. She rolls her shocking and a creeking noise of the joints poping can be heard. It isn't very loud just...there. Idly she starts to roll her ankles to get rid of the stiffness and there goes another tiny pop then her left knee pops. That she hadn't meant to do and an irritated pained expression crosses over her face.

That hurt damn it.

Altaїr cringed. He didn't look but at her face, so he didn't see her expression, but he knew the sound and what it entailed well enough. The Assassin's own joints did that after a long hide. Still, he was used to the aches and hardly felt them anymore. Plus, he was an active individual at any other given time; it probably did less on his body than hers.

He didn't have any other helpful reaction to give though, and sat still as always. There was no reason to bring it up as he saw anyway.

She didn't lead quite as active a life. Though she still managed to get around fairly well. Mostly it was due to the fact she got around on foot whenever she could manage it. As ell as a few other things she did mostly to unlease some built up tension.

Right now though she leaned forward.Just to rub at her now sore knee. Altair might not want to look over. This is the only time that he'll geta hint of clevage not enough to be terribly noticable but it's there.
