Ivy had been fussing all afternoon. She couldn't help it. She was excited over her date. And expected that she and Phoenix would have fun. That is if he liked music. She did due to the fact that it wouldn't keep too much attention on her. She would admit that wearing dresses, especially ones made to hint that she has legs? Made her very shy because he might look. And if he looked that meant that well, she didn't want to continue along that line of thought.

Bad Ivy. No cookie. Instead she made sure Cedric wasn't jumping all over. Yah, he was her goof ball. And she had to admit the dog was a good distraction while she waited. She expected tonight would go well. So long as nothing too physically active happened. She had a feeling despite her feeling a whole lot better Phoenix might still worry just a little over her health.

Hmm, would it be ok for her to bring her cane to a Jazz bar? It was a nice one too. Not the typical one someone might picture. They actually served decent food too. She had lunch there once.

She laughs softly. "Oddly I can picture you as one. My mind is weird like that." But she has no idea about Sailor Objection. Don't break her mind.

Not normally. But this was different. She really liked Phoenix. He wasn't like the jerks she had dated in the past who left her feeling bitter and hurt. He was...horribly sweet. She didn't know what to think in the long term. Short term? Well..heh. "Cool."

She moves to stand and holds out her hand.

He blinks. "Not sure what to make of that. Seems like the superheroes and villains have to put up with a lot of weird stuff. But, well, I suppose it's a compliment, so..." He's a little embarrassed. "Now if I actually had some sort of superpower, that'd be a lot more helpful. Eh heh."

He takes her hand. He doesn't know what's going to happen, either in the short term or the long. He's certainly learned not to expect things to last forever. But... living for the moment isn't so bad, right?

She giggles faintly. "Yu don't have to have powers to be a hero anyways." She almost said something cheesy but held off on it.

She has no idea what to expect either. But right now she's going to enjoy this. It's what she's heard called 'New Rekationship Feeling'. She isn't sure if she'd call it that. But she finds herself wanting to plan for a while. Oh and enjoy his company as much as she can. And why look, they're almost at her place. Time to get ready.

"Well, no, but they'd sure come in handy once in a while," he says. [Especially if they'd come with no strings attached.] He shrugs. "Considering how much I've managed to throw myself at things like an idiot here..." There's a little twinge, for a bit, but he gets over it.

He waits for her to let them in. There's an odd feeling of anticipation, somehow... but hadn't she said she wasn't really into, uh, that? No sense in getting his hopes up -- even if she's the first person he's actually really entertained the idea of intimate relations with in a long time.

She chuckles lightly. "I don't think I'd bother with powers anyways. I guess I just like how I define myself."

She lets them in. And is happy to go start on the coffee. He'll notice she kicked her shoes off while she's in the kitchen. Clear view in there.

"You mind getting the locks for me? And feel free to turn on any of the lights. I know I don'tt need them but...I can sorta...see how you might like them."
